Holydays Summer

  The first thing that I would like do this Holydays Summer, is to attend to a gym, you know, doing hysical activities is good and healthy for us, and also to prepare my body for the beach and stuff.
  I think that is the perfect time to travel with some friends and stay in the beach for a few days or weeks, maybe to El Tabo or another near beach. Other stuffs, I would like to do is to sleep and rest a lot, because this academic year was really really stressful and hard, so I need to recover my strength.
 I would like to visit, apart from the beach, the lakes of the South, towns like Lican Ray, Coñaripe, Villarrica or Pucón, I like the lakes most than the beaches because I like to swim, and swimming in the beach scares me, because of the waves :(
 Besides, I would like to ride my bike, visit new places and friends, hang out with my friends and share with my family. Also I would like to start working, I don´t know, I would like to gain my money, to buy my things or give something to my parents, we will see.
  Finally, I think that this Holydays Summer, would pass really quickly, and that is a thing that I won´t let happen, I will try to squezze everyday and enjoy it as much as I can.

How to survive SDLE

I just went one day to de University, so I can´t say much about the SDLE.
I just attend when there was a sort of musical show in the University, well I remember that all my mates were very motivated because the SDLE is like the Alianza´s week of the University, where all the grades compete. Some activities of that day, were the painting bodies, that was a nice looking activity jeje, also some drinking games, like that game which is similar to ping pong with glasses,  i don´t know the name. The musical show, was the final part of the day, then a lot of groups of students played a lot of different song, i liked Papi donde está el funk?, was a pretty nice cover, after that i leave the U.
In the SDLE, also I went to Lonquén, like a course trip(?. Well, that was a chaos, you know, everyone was having a good time. It was a perfect moment to meet new people and share some experiences, also I remember the amount of people drunk, there were so many, also the marijuana smell was really intense.
 Anyways, here are some advices that I can give to you:
 1) Be careful with your things, like your cellphone, wallet, etc. you know why :v
 2) You have to make new friends, is the perfect instance
 3) Moderation, you must not to"mostrar la hilacha"
 4) You have to enjoy this moments, because the University is very stressful, and are this activities when you can chill out without evaluations involved.

English Language Challenge (Post 10)

   From this year of English 3 and English 4, I think that was really nice to improve my English, mostly of the time improving my listening comprehension, you know, like listening to the teachers in the classroom, also I think that my reading comprehension and  my vocabulary have improved a lot, because of the topics treated in class, and also because of the blogs that we had to do in all the year, besides  you learn a lot just searching some words in wordreference.com. In my opinion, my worst area is the speaking, is easier to write a sentence,  traslating what you think from spanish to english in your head and then write it in the paper, than making that process in your brain at the same time that you are speaking, I don`t know if you can get what I mean. Anyways, speaking is a matter that I need to improve.

    I think that this experience has been very enriching, because it's very different to attend to class from 45 students that a class with almost twenty, besides the oportunities to talk in English are too many through the differents activities of the course, like discussions of topics that seems interesting to us.
 
   Also I can say that making these blogs was a good experience and a nice instance to improve our "Writer`s skills", writing about subjects that are related to our career and others that were chosen by us.
  Out of the English class, besides of listening to differents songs or maybe reading some posts or memes in english, there is nothing more. That`s why my speaking ability is bad, it`s something that I have to work on, apart from singing some songs in the shower, I could start speaking in english sometimes like a game, to make the process of traslation more natural and fluent.
 

Cristóbal Briceño (Post 8)

 Nowadays I have been stuck listening to 3 albums: "El Hombre Puede", "Dùo Niagara" and "Cuerpo a Cuerpo", what do those albums have in common? Cristóbal Briceño sings in all of them, the first one as the lead singer in  Ases Falsos, the second in a Duo in company of Juan Pablo Wasaff (ex Teleradio Donoso) and the third as a  soloist. Although he has been crucified because of some comments that he made in an interview about feminism, I think that those words were just "manipulated" by the journalist to get more attention. I have listened to some interviews of Cristóbal and his points of view are really peculiar and interesting to me, overlooking  that he has some problems expresing his thoughts (you must watch an interview to understand what I`m saying).

 Musically, Briceño has been the voice of many different music projects like: Fother Muckers, Ases Falsos, Las Chaquetas Amarillas, Los Mil Jinetes, Dúo Niagara, Cristóbal Briceño y la Estrella Solitaria, etc. But with Ases Falsos and FM, they got most of their fans, with hits like 2022, Aunque Todo Saliò Mal and  the Juventud Americana Album, people who usually listen to them are young people, you know like teenagers to young adults.

 This year I went to the Teatro Mundo Màgico to an Ases Falsos concert, it was really funny because I traveled from Melipilla to Santiago, and I supposed to meet with a friend who is living here, but that Friday was the Foro at the USACH (a sort of CEO, alcohol and drugs you know). So, my friend was "chopico" in the subway station waiting for me, I helped to take some breath, but then he started to feel really bad and threw up, fortunately he had a ziploc bag, and with my reflexes I covered him with the backpack so nobody saw him, then I ran with the bag and put it on the thrash can. Then we took the metro to Pajaritos station, we used Google Maps to get to the theater, we got there a sort of late and with my friend a little dizzy, but we made it and was a great show.

  

Postgraduate Studies

The reasons do a course after the six years that the career last, could be... I don´t know, maybe to focus in a specific problem that affect to the people in general, like Oral Rehabilitation, subjects like that, where you have to know more than the average dentist
I think that I would like to study Odontopediatry, that an Odontology area specifically in children and teenagers, I would like to keep studying here, in the UCh and maybe in a part-time course.
I remember that in the beginning of the career, in Destrezas class, they made a few presentations of some postgraduate studies that we can take in the future. A dentist did show us what is the work of a pediatric dentist, we watched a video of a girl who has Down Syndrome, and how they where qualified to treat all kinds of children, I remember that the dentist told us that the girl liked Chayanne so much, and in the video we saw that in the light which is use by the dentist. a Chayanne photograpy was glued to the handle of the light, also they put some Chayanne´s music on the radio, and the girl seems really happy. That image was really emotive, like the relation that always have to exist between a patient and us

Dfuturejob

When I think about the future I don´t have a clear picture of what I will be doing, (omitting odontology). I think that the perfect job exist only if it is really nice to you, in other words, if you do what you would like to do. In my case, I have some ideas, like working in some towns of the south of Chile, maybe working in a Public Hospital in Santiago or in a consultory in Melipilla. I don´t know, I think that if I could help some people in need in the future, it would be very nice and gratifying for my soul. Talking about if it will be outdoor or indoor, I have been thinking about doing them both, why not? Like this interventions with buses conditionated to provide dentristy treatement to people that can´t travel to big cities or towns, also like going to some islands near to Chiloé to assist people that have to travel many hours in boats to visit Hospitals at Castro or other Chiloé´s cities. I would like to do some stuff like that in the future. If I would like to travel? Of course. I would like to visit so many countries, to get knowledge of different cultures, get consciouness of other realities and life styles, but principally to spread some "health" with my work around the world. The salary really doesn´t matter if you are working in what you like, I really don´t want expensive things, just to live a humble life, that´s what I´m thinking right know, with 18 years old in the first year of this career, this thought may change in the future, but right know is what I would like to do.

Riding my bicycleee

    Lately, I use to ride my bicycle a lot, you know go around the city and be in new places. It started about the last year, when I decided to take my old bike (I had it from when i was a child, like 8 years old, but it was really big for me at that age and actually fit with my size xd), and I remember that i went to a near a"paso-nivel" around the Autopista del Sol and I spend some time there enjoying the view. Since then I bought a new bike and I have visit almost everyplace that is 15km around Melipilla. One of my favourite places is a broken bridge near to the Ing. Marambio Bridge that is in the south side of the city, I usually go there and sit a while thinking about life, is like the place where I can be with myself or something like that. Another place where I like to go is to Pomaire, I enjoy the trip because there are is a nice landscape full of trees and animals.
